Back Spikes
These come in three different sizes, switch between them at your discretion. I generally aimed for a fairly smooth gradient, getting smaller as I neared the tail.
Create a base by surface SCs along the back, keeping the line as straight as possible. Or not, have a twisty ouroboros, maybe it’ll end up like a Moebius strip.
Large: Chain 3, SC in 3rd st from hook, SC in next st
Medium: Chain 3, SL in 3rd st from hook, SC in next st
Small: Chain 3, SL in 3rd st from hook, SL in next st
