Let's Go Diving - Anglerfish Amigurumi

Look, I saw the ooky-spooky anglerfish and like, I love deep-sea fish, I did my final year uni project using deep-sea fish as inspiration, including specifically anglerfish.

What I'm getting at is, anglerfish amigurumi pattern, right as I'm diving deeper into amigurumi and crochet as a whole. It was irresistible. I had to. And then I made another one.

This pattern doesn't seem to have a sort of, written source on someone's site - I've only been able to find it as this image

Which I guess is fine, but I'd prefer to be able to give proper credit, so if anyone does know another source, please, let me know!

Regarding the pattern itself, I will say that doing the lure as only 3sc round is really really hard so I recommend doing 4sc, it's not really noticeable but it makes such a difference to the state of your fingers at the end of it!

Here's the pattern typed up as well, I know images can be hard to decipher sometimes:

Body

Magic circle 6 st
Inc in each st
(sc1 inc1) x6
(sc2 inc1) x6
(sc3 inc1) x6
SC 30 x2
Chain 15, attach at 15th st of round, SC 15
(sc3 dec1) x6
(sc2 dec1) x6
(sc1 dec1) x6
Dec 6
Dec 3/(sc1 dec1) x2
SC 10 rds (either 30 or 40 st depending on how wide your lure is)
Inc in each st

Tail fin

Chain 5
SC 4
Chain 1, turn, SC 4
Chain 1, turn, inc 4

Side fin (make two)

Chain 3
SC 2
Chain 1, turn, SC2

Assembly

Make a pompom for the light, just around your finger should be big enough.
For the mouth, they say to use a circle of felt, but since we’re crocheting anyway, may as well make a 30 st wide circle and just sew that into place. Same logic with the teeth, they use a kind of lace, but I just knot-embroidered them in, keep the materials consistent y’know.
